Grace Hill Women’s Business Center (WBC)
Founded in 1999 as an economic development initiative within Grace Hill Settlement House. It is a public/private partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration and is dedicated to providing micro-business development for aspiring entrepreneurs, with a primary focus on minority women in the community. Partnering with other institutions and community organizations, the Center is able to offer a variety of programs and services to further individuals’ aims of entrepreneurship. It offers comprehensive services to support all stages of entrepreneurship, 1:1 business counseling, where new business owners can vet their ideas, seminars/speaker series, and its flagship service, Workshop in Business Opportunities (WIBO)—an in-depth, 16-week business development training workshop.

U.S. Small Business Administration, SBA
Created in 1953, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) continues to help small business owners and entrepreneurs pursue the American dream. The SBA is the only cabinet-level federal agency fully dedicated to small business and provides counseling, capital, and contracting expertise as the nation’s only go-to resource and voice for small businesses.
Minority-owned businesses that have been in business three or more years and with $1 million or more in annual revenue are the target clients for the Missouri MBDA Business Center. High-growth industries such as green technology, clean energy, health care, infrastructure and broadband technology are also eligible for the program.

1 Million Cups-(Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation)
Based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and engage with their communities over a million cups of coffee, the Kauffman Foundation developed 1 Million Cups in 2012 – a free program designed to educate, engage, and inspire entrepreneurs around the country.
