Maryland Women’s Business Center

The Maryland Women’s Business Center (MWBC) works with women entrepreneurs across the state by way of our three locations to start, sustain, and grow their businesses. Through workshops, individual counseling, facilitated peer group support, special resources, and access to capital, MWBC annually helps more than 1,500 women gain the skills, connections, and confidence necessary to navigate entrepreneurship. Men are also welcome at workshops and training sessions.

Assists in the development, growth and success of black businesses by: Training and educating businesses in the region regarding tactics and resources for starting and growing successful businesses. Hosting programs and events that promote business development and growth. Providing platforms for networking and strategic partnership development. Moms as Entrepreneurs Academy

The Moms As Entrepreneurs Academy provides current and aspiring mothers with an eight-week hands-on academy. Each week mothers are guided through a custom curriculum that focuses on the mindset of a business to the concepts and resources to launch a business.

The MBDA Business Center is part of a national network of funded centers located in major cities throughout the United States. The center works with minority business enterprises to generate increased financing and contract opportunities and to create and retain jobs.

Baltimore MBDA Advanced Manufacturing Center

The Baltimore MBDA Advanced Manufacturing Center, operated by the City of Baltimore, provides targeted assistance to minority manufacturers to increase the number of “Made in America” products that can be sold domestically and globally. The center is also designed to help identify, screen, promote, and refer minority business enterprises (MBEs) to specialized advanced manufacturing programs, and provide technical and business development services.
